皆さんこんにちは。
今日は久しぶりにとてもいい天気ですね。 Hello, everyone. It's a beautiful sunny day today after a week or so, isn't it? 今日は“一緒(いっしょ)”という言葉の使い方について説明します。 Today I'm going to explain how to use "一緒(いっしょ)." ①誰か、何かとともに together with ②誰か、何かと同じ likewise ①の例文 Example sentences of meaning ① 1.友達と一緒にレストランに行きました。 I went to a restaurant with a friend. 2.雑誌と新聞を一緒に捨ててもいいです。 You can throw away magazines and newspaper together. 動詞が続くときは一緒のあとに「に」をつけましょう。Put particle "に" after 一緒 if followed by a verb part. ②の例文 Example sentences of meaning ② 1.彼とは好きな食べ物が一緒だ。 He and I have common favorite dishes. 2.A: 私は3人兄弟なんです。 B:私も一緒です。 A: We are three brothers. B: Me, too. 「○○と一緒です」や「私も一緒です」など簡単な文だと、 ①の意味なのか、②の意味なのか、文脈を知っておかないとわかりにくいときがあります。 そのときは、「一緒に~する」とか「○○と一緒で、・・・」といった文にしたほうがいいでしょう。 話し手も聞き手も状況を理解しているときは問題ありません。 Sometimes, if you only say "○○ to issho desu" or "Watashi mo issho desu," people might not understand which meaning of issho you mean without a clear context. Then, you need to say properly as "issho ni ...suru" or "(someone) to issho de, ..." However, it's okay to say simple sentences when both the speaker and the listener understand the context. パターン1 注文する時 Case 1 : Placing an order A: かなちゃんは、何にする? What would you like, Kana? B: じゃあ、みほちゃんと一緒。 Well, the same thing as Miho. パターン2 居場所をたずねるとき Case 2: Asking where someone is A: あれ、お母さんはどこ? Hey, where is mom? B: お姉ちゃんと一緒だよ。 She's with your big sister. 皆さんこんにちは。今日はlifeという英単語の日本語訳について話したいと思います。
Hello everyone. Today I'd like to talk about translations of English word "life." lifeを辞書で調べると、どの辞書にもだいたい If you look this word up on the dictionary, it will probably show you these: ①命(いのち) ②人生(じんせい) ③生活(せいかつ) の3つはあると思います。これらの違いは何でしょうか。 What do you think is the difference between each word? ①命(いのち) 人、動物、植物すべての生き物にあるもの。 人や動物なら心臓が動いている状態、植物なら枯れていなければ命があるということです。 The thing that every human, animal and plant has. They have this as long as their heart beats or the plant is not dead. 例:命に関わる病気 Life-threatening disease 食事をするとき、私たちは命をいただいている When we eat, we intake lives of animals and plants ②人生(じんせい) 人が生まれてから死ぬまでの時間。 生まれてから今までの時間や、これから死ぬまでの時間など、長い時間を見ているときにも使う The time between a person's birth and his death. It is also used to refer a certain span in a person's life, for example the time between a person's birth and the present, or the time between the present and his death. 例:あの人は最高の人生を送った。 That person lived a great life. 人生のパートナー Lifetime partner ③生活(生活) 毎日どうやって生きているか。 How you live everyday. 例:学生生活を楽しむ Enjoy a campus life 今月の生活費を計算する Calculate living expenses for this month 日本での生活はどうですか。 How is your living in Japan? (English below)
Good evening, everyone. I guess some of you will start your golden week from tomorrow. Recently, I restarted to learn my husband's mother language. Using a textbook that I've had for a long time but didn't really use, I review grammar that I've learned, try to remember the words that I forgot and take notes of new words with their translations. I've been trying to do one chapter a day for the past one week. Hopefully, I will finish the book by the end of next month. Also, I listen to the audio of CDs from the book everyday. I often do something else while listening, but I think it's okay. When I studied this language, I kept listening the same audio files again and again everyday. When I listen many times, I naturally memorize the things as they are. I think it's a better way to learn things than memorizing word by word because you can learn conjugated forms of words and how these are used in sentences. Eventually you can actually use them in conversations. There are people who learn better from books, but for me listening is more effective. What is your best learning method? (English after each paragraph)
2021年7月の日本語能力試験の申し込みの受付が終わりました。 受けようと思っている皆さん、申し込みは忘れずに済ませましたか? The application period for the JLPT 2021 summer is over. Did you not forget to apply? 今日は、日本語能力試験を受験する意味、つまり受験の必要性について話そうと思います。 皆さんはどうして受けようと思いましたか。 Today I want to talk about the necessity of taking the JLPT. Question for you. What made you think of taking it? 私自身は今までの語学の勉強では試験も当然のように視野に入れて勉強していました。 私は語学が好きですし、試験を受けて自分が出来るところ、出来ないところをはっきり見たいからです。 今まで勉強した語学の試験はどれも全く個人的なもので、誰かに、あるいはどこかの組織に強要されたものではありませんでした。 こういうタイプの人にとっては、試験は苦になりませんし、試験はプラスに働きます。 I myself often considered to take a test of a language that I studied every time I studied one. I like learning languages very much and I like to see by testing me what I know and what I don't know. Every language test that I have taken before is personal and I was never forced to take any by anyone, any school or organization. This type of people do not feel pressure when taking a test and tests work in good ways for them. However, Those who A: started to study for a test because they only feel like it, or B: want to improve Japanese conversations mainly may want to give up on the way to the test date. It may happen because the JLPT requires you to learn so many kanji and read a lot of textbooks and do drills and it takes so much time. Therefore when people of type A find it out, they easily lose motivation. Also, people of type B may lose motivation when they feel that they are studying but are not improving on conversations. そのような人は、受験する時期を半年後や1年後にして、試験用の教科書と別に会話が勉強できる教科書を使って勉強するといいと思います。 あるいは、受験自体しないという選択もありだと思います。 Those people should postpone the test until a half year or a year and study textbooks for conversations at the same time of studying for the JLPT. There is also another option: Not take the test at all. ただし、会話でも正しい知識は必要なので、ただ友達や同僚と話すだけではなく、新しいことを学ぶために教科書を使う、また間違った日本語を使ったら教えてくれる人がそばにいることが大切です。 Conversations require correct knowledge, too, of course. So it is important to use textbooks or learning materials to learn new things and have someone who tells you when you say something grammatically wrong or unnatural, as well as having a good amount of time to speak with your friends and colleagues in Japanese. 1週間前になりますが、2年ぶりに料理教室をしました。
メニューは、えびのちらし寿司、竹のこと新玉ねぎの味噌汁、野菜サラダ(玉ねぎドレッシング)でした。 春の野菜をたくさん使った献立をみんなで作って食べました。 今年はあと2回か3回出来るといいなと思っています。 One week ago I had the first cooking class after two years. The menu was: Shrimp chirashi-zushi, miso soup with bamboo shoot and fresh onion, spring vegetable salad with onion dressing We used a lot of spring vegetables for the dishes and enjoyed eating them. I hope to have the class two or three more times this year. (English below)
I went to Tachioka Nature Park in Uto city on Saturday with my husband to see cherry blossoms. It was about 50 minutes from the center of Kumamoto city. In the park, there are two big ponds. One was made by Kiyomasa Kato in 1611 and the other one was created in 1855. Fully bloomed cherry blossoms of 2000 cherry trees attract many people every year during hanami season. This year, it kept raining last weekend and it was going to rain (and it actually did) this Sunday, so quite a lot of people visited the park yesterday. Fully occupied parking space and even temporary parking spaces, too! I made casual bento for lunch and we ate at a bench and enjoyed walking around the ponds. I truly recommend this place if you haven't been there yet. There are a lot more cherry trees than you see in the photos. Especially the road between the ponds has cherry trees on the both sides and it is very beautiful. If you go for hanami, do not forget bento and a picnic sheet! 皆さんこんにちは。
今日は「さっぱり」という言葉の使い方を2つ紹介します。 Hi everyone. Today I'm going to teach you two ways of using "sappari." 1. Refreshing, light (taste) 例1:このサラダはレモン味でさっぱりしている。 This salad has a flavor of lemon and tastes refreshing. 例2:シャワーを浴びてさっぱりした。 I feel refreshed after taking a shower. 例3:食事の後お茶を飲むと口の中がさっぱりする。 Tea after a meal makes my mouth clear. For taste, さっぱり is often used with flavor of lemon, mint, vinegar, etc. 2. (With a negated verb) Not at all 例1:この問題は難しくてさっぱりわからない。 This problem is so difficult that I don't understand it at all. 例2:雨がひどいので、お客がさっぱり来ない。 It is raining heavily and there have not been customers. The use of さっぱり in use 2 and 全然 are not interchangeable. Basically, さっぱり is used for something that is expected to happen but doesn't happen. As さっぱり does not go with every verb, I recommend that you memorize sets of さっぱり and a verb that you have seen. In the first example, understanding is your ability and not what you control, so using さっぱり is okay. Here are a couple of sets of さっぱり and a verb. さっぱりわからない (not understand at all) (他の誰かが)さっぱり来ない (not come) (機械などが)さっぱり動かない (not work/move at all) (探しているものが)さっぱり見つからない (not be found) 皆さんこんばんは。
今日は水を表す言葉を紹介します。 Good evening. Today I will introduce words that describe water. 氷 こおり ice 水 みず water (usually cold) ぬるま湯 ぬるまゆ lukewarm water お湯 おゆ hot water (doesn't have to be boiling) 熱湯 ねっとう very hot water (close to boiling or boiling) 水蒸気 すいじょうき water vapor 湯気 ゆげ visible water vapor, steam 結露 けつろ condensation 日本語学習者の中には、お湯は100度のお湯だと思っている人がいるようです。 冬に車の窓が凍ったときどうするか、という話をしたとき 私が「窓ガラスにお湯をかけます」と言ったら 生徒は「ガラスにお湯は大丈夫ですか?!」と驚いていました。 私の意見では、お湯はお風呂の温度以上であればお湯と言っていいと思います。 それよりも低く、あたたかく感じる程度なら、ぬるま湯となります。 Some Japanese language learners think that お湯 is boiling water. When I talked about what I do when the car windshield is frozen, I said that I pour お湯. She was surprised and asked me "is hot water okay for glass?" She thought I pour boiling water. (I explained to her later) In my opinion, お湯 is as hot as bath water or hotter. If water is warm and less hot than bath water, it is called
Hi everyone. The weather has been good for the past few days, but it is terrible today. It has been very windy, rainy and cold all day! I hope those who went out today didn't get wet by the rain. The past few weeks were not so fun for us, not being able to do much fun stuff under the restrictions from Kumamoto state of emergency and in a cold winter. It is almost 2 full months since the new year has started. How did you spend the past two months? I don't really remember any other things I did except work and chores that I had to get done. I hope to go for a drive or outdoor activities to enjoy nature in spring. Also, because last year I didn't hold any event except for the JLPT mock test, I would love to hold some events this year, such as cooking classes and Japanese language lectures, where I can meet people besides regular Japanese classes. I hope to update my blog to talk about Japanese language, too. I know I didn't update such articles in the past 2, 3 months, but hopefully I will get back to my old blog routine. What are your plans for the spring? |
