(English after each paragraph)
今日は、節がある構文での”は”と”が”を正しく使う方法を教えます。 簡単に言うと、~たら、~とき、~ても、~ということ などを使った文です。 こんな文では、主語と述語(主語の様子や動作を表すもの)が二つ存在しますね。 ~たら、~とき などの中の節を従属節(じゅうぞくせつ)、そうではない方の節を主節(しゅせつ)といいます。 わかりにくいですか?では例をひとつ。 友達が来たら、パーティーを始めます。 When friends come, I will start the party. A:when friends come が従属節で、B:I will start the party が主節です。 BはAがなくても文として成り立ちますね。これが主節です。 Today I will teach you how to use は and が properly in a sentence with a dependent clause. A clause is a set of a subject and a verb or an adjective. There are independent clauses and dependent clauses. Independent clause can be a sentence by itself. For example, When friends come, I will start the party. A : When friends come = dependent clause B : I will start the party. = independent clause これにはとても簡単なルールがあります。 それぞれを文で明示するとき、 A 従属節の主語は”が”を使う B 主節の主語は”は”を使う これだけです! 文脈によって主節の”は”が”が”になることもあります。 また、文脈から誰かわかっているときは、どちらかの主語を省くこともあります。 基本的にはこのルールでほとんどの場合OKだと思います。 There is one simple rule for making a sentence with a dependent clause. Use が for a dependent clause Use は for an independent clause That's it! In some cases it's better to use が instead of は for an independent clause or a subject is omitted, depending on the context, but most of the cases you can apply this rule. では練習してみましょう。 ( )に ”は” または ”が” を入れてください。 Okay, so let's practice! Put either は or が in ( ). 1.父( )帰ったとき、母( )料理をしていました。 My mother was cooking when my father came back home. 2.もし妻( )病気になったら、私( )生活できません。 If my wife became sick, I could not live well. 3.部長( )出張なさったことを知っていますか。 Do you know that the department head has gone for a business trip? 4.息子( )私( )いないことを知りませんでした。 My son didn't know that I was not there. 5.私( )留学すると言ったので、妹( )びっくりしました。 My sister was surprised because I said I am going to study abroad. 答えは2月12日の投稿で確認しましょう!
