I have been busier recently and I get tired in the end of the day... However! I wasn't just doing lessons. I went to supermarkets with my student to show food for vegetarians and also I did some research on healthy products at some supermarkets. I'll post on the content "Tips" as "food products for vegans in Japan" and "Safe food", so please check them out. Earlier this month, I found this article on free paper in Kumamoto city and thoght I should share it with you. These are marks with our beloved character Kumamon on environment and organic concerned products. The most right one is for products by farmers who are trying to reduce chemical fertilizer and agricultural chemicals. The levels of environment concern differ, depending on how much chemicals they reduced from old cultivation. The most left one is for organic products that are grown without chemicals for 2 years and more.
I'll omit the details, but you can remember that the greener the mark is, the more concerned the farmers are for cultivating their products. I know that basically organic products are more expensive than the other products, so I can't afford to buy those organic products always. But when I find those for discounted prices because they are left at market (that's a little sad, though), I prefer buying them to buying regular vegetables on sale. Some days ago I bought a bag of turnips marked with the clover in full green (the one on the most left in the pic). I saw the skin was eaten all over by worms or something, but I think it's a good sign that the soil is healthy for animals, too.

Actually I've been working on a new project. I started Patreon, where I can offer various services and can get (if my service is good enough) financial support from patrons all over the world. I have got new students lately, but of course it can happen that students suddenly quit because they changed thier plans in Japan or they leave Japan. Also, most of my students are working people, so I tend to get busy in the evenings but not in the mornings and early afternoons. So I kept thinking and thinking how I could utilize my free hours, which vary everyday, and finally made my mind on starting Patreon. I have really just started and the page is not perfect, but have a look: Kaseczek's Patreon Page For now what I do for patreons is: Posting information about Japanese language and Japan Making learning materials such as worksheets for Japanese language learners Posting articles about Japanese daily dishes and recipes Posting articles about life in the countryside and small towns in Japan Japanese teaching is my main job, but personally I would like people to learn sides of Japan other than Japan known as "the country of technology" or "the country where you can get everything". As the right time comes, I'm going to start a service of Japanese text checking and correcting for those who learn Japanese but cannot take my lessons in Kumamoto. I'll try to work on both this website and the Patreon page to offer better service to more people. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! (English on the next post)
Which would be appropriate: hisashiburi ni , or nagai aida ? |
