Good evening. Today I will introduce words that describe water. 氷 こおり ice 水 みず water (usually cold) ぬるま湯 ぬるまゆ lukewarm water お湯 おゆ hot water (doesn't have to be boiling) 熱湯 ねっとう very hot water (close to boiling or boiling) 水蒸気 すいじょうき water vapor 湯気 ゆげ visible water vapor, steam 結露 けつろ condensation 日本語学習者の中には、お湯は100度のお湯だと思っている人がいるようです。 Some Japanese language learners think that お湯 is boiling water. When I talked about what I do when the car windshield is frozen, I said that I pour お湯. She was surprised and asked me "is hot water okay for glass?" She thought I pour boiling water. (I explained to her later) In my opinion, お湯 is as hot as bath water or hotter. If water is warm and less hot than bath water, it is called
