髪が長いので、普段はゴムで束ねていることが多い私。 今日の授業のときは束ねていなかったので、それを見た生徒との会話。 生徒「いい髪型ですね!」 私「ああ、ありがとうございます。別にいつもと違うことはしていませんけど」 生徒「えっ、その直毛は地毛なんですか?いいなあ」 彼女の髪は少しウェーブがかかっていて、ヘアアイロンを使うこともあるそうです。 私は長ければほとんど何もしなくてもまっすぐです。 学生のころは、「ウェーブの髪いいなあ」と思い、お金を払ってパーマをかけたこともありましたが・・・ 自分にないものをほしがることを日本語では「ないものねだり」と言います。 「ねだり」は「ねだる」という動詞から来ています。 親密な関係の人に甘えてお願いするという意味です。 でも自分になくて人にあるものって、よく見えるものですよね・・・。 I usually tie my long hair with a hair band, but today I didn't. She has a slightly curly hair and uses a hair iron sometimes. My hair is quite straight and I don't need to do anything when it's long. I spent some money to get my hair curled once when I was a student, though. Crying for the moon in Japanese is "ないものねだり (naimono-nedari)". "nedari" is from "nedaru", which means asking someone in an intimate relationship for something like a spoiled child. But I guess it's our nature to want something that we don't have but someone else has...
